Ayamonte has had the worst 24 hours since the pandemic began with 28 cases declared today. The surge comes after 10 cases were declared on Thursday. This brings the running total for the last week to 61- and two-week positives to 105.

The Mayor of Ayamonte, Natalia Santos, outlined her concern with this increase in infections and urged everyone to follow the prevention measures.

Today in Huelva 257 new cases were reported and there were two new hospitalizations and two more deaths. Huelva province has now lost 99 people to Covid. There is good news as the number of people in hospital is coming down and the trend continues today with 124 less in Andalusian hospitals according to figures published this Friday.

Huelva has 140 patients in hospital and 17 of those are intensive care. There are currently 3,038 patients in Andalusian hospitals with Covid-19 of which 519 are in intensive care.
