The Incidence rate has fallen again today in Ayamonte as we creep closer to get below that 1000 mark. There were 12 cases reported in Ayamonte in the last 24 hours but that is a lot better then the 30’s and 40’s we were seeing before, and the rate is now down to 1170. Indeed, all the surrounding towns have seen a drop in the incidence rate in the last 24 hours.

The Andalusian Council have also decided to change the process of evaluation and from now on every Thursday they will take the incidence rate of a particular town and then impose the necessary restrictions (if any) on that town the following Saturday and these restrictions will have a validity of 7 days. This is a change where before evaluations were done twice a week and the validity of the restrictions was for two weeks.

Andalusia has reported 2,971 cases in the last 24 hours. Sevilla with 685 cases was the worst hit province in the last 24 hours, Cordoba reported the lowest with 158 followed by Huelva with 170.

There is some more positive news and that is that 3,403 patients were declared cured.

Sadly, there were 114 more deaths declared today in Andalusia which brings the total number of deaths since the pandemic began in Andalusia to 7,228. Huelva had its worst day for deaths with 14 people passing away due to Covid, one of those deaths was in Ayamonte.

There are currently 4,274 patients in Andalusian hospitals with Covid-19 of which 720 are in intensive care. Today there are 253 people hospitalized in Huelva hospitals of which 32 are in intensive care.
