Huelva only had 22 cases in the last 24 hours, the second lowest number in all of 2021. Andalusia also had just 1187 cases and the number of cured people exceeded that by 464. The measures adapted after Christmas are now beginning to come into their own.

The Incidence rate has fallen again today in Ayamonte dropping below the 700 mark. There were only 5 cases reported in Ayamonte over the weekend so getting close to that desired zero and the rate is now down to 697. Indeed, all the surrounding towns have seen a drop in the incidence rate in the last 24 hours.

Sadly, there were 38 more deaths declared today in Andalusia which brings the total number of deaths since the pandemic began in Andalusia to 7,661. Huelva was the only province to declare no deaths in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 3,397 patients in Andalusian hospitals with Covid-19 of which 670 are in intensive care. Today there are 188 people hospitalized in Huelva hospitals of which 31 are in intensive care.
