Ayamonte Beach

The President of Spain has just announced at 7pm this Saturday that From Monday 30th March until Thursday 9th April, all non-essential workers must stay at home. He said this is ensure a final push against the battle against Covid-19.

Ayamonte has its first confirmed case of Covid-19. The case was confirmed this afternoon by the Town Hall after family members of the patient confirmed a positive test result. The patient is receiving medical care in isolation in the hospital. The Town Hall has asked people to ensure they take precaution and avoid going outside. Please stay at home.

There has been a total of 8,189 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is now at 72,248. The number of patients in intensive care is 4,575 and the number of deaths has now reached 5,690. The number of people who have recovered is 12,285.

Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 4,277 confirmed cases of which 2,106 are in hospital 172 are intensive care and 1,996 are in quarantine and there have been 175 deaths (Malaga 56, Jaen 16, Granada 49, Cordoba 9, Cadiz 7, Seville 26, Almeria 10, Huelva 2). In Seville there are 830 cases with 383 of those in hospital, the remaining 421 are in quarantine in their own homes, 26 deaths while 13 have been cured.

In Andalusia there have been a total of 175 deaths so far and 333 patients have recovered and 139 of these have now been declared cured.

In Huelva there are 120 cases, this being an increase of 15 new cases today, 66 are in hospital and 52 are in quarantine in their own homes. The good news is that seven have been sent home from hospital and two have been confirmed cured.
