The Ministry for Health who publish the an update every day on Covid-19 also publish a breakdown of the spread per age group and as the sample they use is now over one hundred thousand I thought it was time to republish the data.
What I would like to point out is that 86.7% of all deaths are patients over 70 but that 64.7% of all intensive care beds are taken up by people under 70. We all know that our elders are the most affected by this virus but it is very important to note that younger people who are exposed to a high viral charge can easily end up in intensive care too. Please have a look at the various graphs below.
There has been a total of 5,756 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is now at 152,446. The number of patients in intensive care is was not published today by the ministry for health as they continue consolidating figures for Madrid, Galicia, Castilla y Leon and Castilla la Mancha. The number of deaths has now reached 15,238. The number of people who have recovered is 52,165.
Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 9,261 confirmed cases of which 4,599 have needed hospitalisation and 538 have needed intensive care. As of 21.00 yesterday there are 1,986 patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 406 of those are in intensive care. There have been 652 deaths (Malaga 147, Jaen 84, Granada 142, Cordoba 45, Cadiz 45, Seville 141, Almeria 27, Huelva 21). In Seville there are 1,825 cases and 874 of those required hospitalization with 114 in intensive care. There have been 141 deaths while 191 have been cured.
In Andalusia there have been a total of 652 deaths so far. A total 1,193 patients have now been declared cured.
In Huelva there are 308 cases, this being an increase of 12 new cases today, 159 have been hospitalized with 25 in intensive care. Sadly, another death has been reported today bringing the total to 21. The good news is 40 have now been declared cured.
