The stellar job the healthcare workers comes at a price and in Spain of the 219,764 confirmed cases 34,355 are frontline healthcare workers. In Andalusia of the 12,495 confirmed cases 2,556 are healthcare workers. Numbers can be very cold but behind every one of these numbers is a doctor, nurse, hospital porter, ambulance driver, hospital chef, hospital cleaner, security guard or an administration worker and then there is their families which they come home to after each shift. There has been a total of 2,796 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is now at 219,764, this includes 16,774 who have shown to have the antibody for Covid-19. The number of deaths has now reached 22,524. The number of people who have recovered is 92,335
Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 12,495 confirmed cases of which 5,675 have needed hospitalisation and 714 have needed intensive care. As of 21.00 yesterday there are 937 patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 223 of those are in intensive care. There have been 1,107 deaths (Malaga 241, Jaen 152, Granada 223, Cordoba 87, Cadiz 92, Seville 231, Almeria 44, Huelva 37). In Seville there are 2,482 cases and 1,085 of those required hospitalization with 143 in intensive care. There have been 231 deaths while 583 have recovered.
In Andalusia there have been a total of 1,107 deaths so far. A total 3,992 patients have recovered.
In Huelva there are 401 cases, this being an increase of 5 new cases today, 216 have been hospitalized with 30 in intensive care. Sadly, two new deaths were reported today bringing the total to 37. The good news is 138 have now recovered from the virus.
