Last night the President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, announced that as long as the progress being made against Covid continues that on May 2nd adults and children over 14 will be allowed outside for exercise. Today for the first time in 42 days children aged 13 and under can go outside for a walk if they are accompanied by an adult. They must follow four simple rules: With one adult, once a day, maximum one hour a day and within one kilometre of their home this all coupled with the social distancing rules.

There has been a total of 1,729 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is 207,634. The number of deaths has now reached 23,190. The number of people who have recovered is 98,732

Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 13,023 confirmed cases of which 5,748 have needed hospitalisation and 716 have needed intensive care. As of 21.00 yesterday there are 796 patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 195 of those are in intensive care.

There have been 1,145 deaths in Andalusia (Malaga 249, Jaen 152, Granada 229, Cordoba 94, Cadiz 101, Seville 235, Almeria 45, Huelva 40). In Seville there are 2,554 cases and 1,102 of those required hospitalization with 145 in intensive care. There have been 235 deaths while 678 have recovered.

In Huelva there are 415 cases, this being an increase of 7 new cases today, 210 have been hospitalized with 30 in intensive care. Sadly, one new death was reported today bringing the total to 40. The good news is 152 have now recovered from the virus.
