The President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, announced today during his weekly press conference that the Spanish football league “La Liga” will return on June 8th.
One of the areas that has been hit really hard during the crisis is Tourism and Pedro Sanchez made two important announcements for this sector. The first is that there will be a tourist season this summer. Mr Sanchez asked bars and restaurants and all touristic establishments to prepare for the season from today and he also asked the Spanish people to plan their holidays in Spain this year. Mr Sanchez expects the majority of Spain to be available to Spanish tourists by the end of June. The second announcement was that Spain would be ready for international tourists in July and he invited these tourists to start booking now.
There has been a total of 361 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is 235,290. The number of deaths has now reached 28,678(+48).
Meanwhile in Andalusia, the number of confirmed cases is now 12,597 (+21) of which 6,229 (+14) have needed hospitalisation and 766 (-1) have needed intensive care. As of 00.00 today there are 197 (-15) patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 52 (0) of those are in intensive care.

There have been 1,389 (+12) deaths in Andalusia (Malaga 278 (+0), Jaen 179 (+1) , Granada 280 (+0), Cordoba 114 (+4) , Cadiz 153 (+4), Seville 282 (+2), Almeria 52 (+1) , Huelva 48 (+0). In Seville there are 2,448 cases and 1,202 of those required hospitalization with 149 in intensive care. There have been 282 deaths while 2,135 have recovered.
In Huelva there are 403 cases, One new cases today, 220 have been hospitalized with 30 in intensive care. No new deaths were reported today, so total stays at 48 people. The good news is 447 have recovered from the virus.
