The Town councils of Ayamonte, Isla Cristina, Lepe, Cartaya and Punta Umbria have made a joint press release regarding the use of beaches as of Monday May 25th when the province of Huelva enters phase 2. The use of the beach and swimming in the sea will not be prohibited neither will it be authorised by the Town councils. Instead they have appealed to the general public to maintain the social distancing and hygienic & protection rules to stop the spread of the virus. As happens every year, June 15th will be when all the planning for the use of the beaches along this coast comes into action with the Safety and rescue measures which this year will be supplement with special actions in the fight against Covid19.
So, my understanding is that basically the Town Halls are asking everyone to be responsible for their actions on the beach as until June 15th they won’t have the safety measures in place. Or if you look at it in a stricter point of view, go to beach, enjoy for walks etc, be responsible and if possible don’t go swimming until June 15th.
